Dr. Spingola graduated cum laude fom City College
of New York and received his MD, summa cum laude,
at SUNY Downstate Medical Center. He completed
his surgery residency at the University of Rochester
and performed research at UCLA with an emphasis in
vascular surgery. His broad surgical experience
includes kidney transplants as well as all aspects of
general and vascular surgery. Dr. Spingola has lived
and practiced in Santa Cruz since 1998.

Dr. Chung graduated from UC Berkeley with honors and received his MD at UC San Diego. He completed his surgical residency at the prestigious University of Washington and has been practicing in Santa Cruz since 2000. Dr. Chung has extensive experience in advanced laparoscopy and minimally-invasive surgical procedures, as well as vascular surgery.

Jimmy Y. Chung, M.D., F.A.C.S.
Dr. Waddle completed his undergraduate training at Pomona College and
entered the University of Arizona College of Health Professions as a merit
scholar, graduating with honors. He worked for the US Indian Health
Services as a Clinical Laboratory Scientist and graduated from the
University of Arizona College of Medicine. He completed his surgical
internship at the University of California, Davis and his surgical residency at
the University of California, San Francisco. Dr. Waddle has broad surgical
experience and specializes in minimally invasive surgery including
advanced laparoscopy, thoracoscopy, endoscopy and DaVinci robotic
surgery. He has practiced in Santa Cruz since 2002.

Dr. Wiliams graduated from UCLA with honors in Biology and Phi Beta Kappa. Fluent in French, Trevor Williams earned his MD at McGill University. He received his Masters in Public Health from UC Berkeley and did his surgical residency at UCSF-East Bay. His interests include colorectal, thoracic and minimally invasive surgery. Dr. Williams joined Surgical Associates in 2009.
