Dr. Ruby Lo is the first fully dedicated and fellowship-trained vascular surgeon covering all of Santa Cruz County. She leaves a robust practice after four years in academia to return closer to her hometown of San Jose.
Her prodigious educational background started at UC Berkeley as an undergraduate. She then continued her extensive schooling, becoming the recipient of two Master's degrees, one in Applied Anatomy from Case Western Reserve University and another in Clinical Effectiveness at Harvard's School of Public Health. During this time, she was also an esteemed Harvard-Longwood Research Fellow in the vascular surgery laboratory of Dr. Marc Schermerhorn. Her general surgery residency and vascular surgery fellowship were both completed at Beth Israel Deaconess, a world class teaching hospital of Harvard Medical School in Boston.
